Harry Bernstein appeals the trial court's judgment concluding that Bernstein is a sexually violent person and ordering commitment. Bernstein argues he is entitled to a new trial because the record does not show that he personally consented to the State's withdrawal of its request for a jury trial, and this, he argues, is required under § 980.05(2), STATS.
