A jury found Vincent P. Macri guilty of the offense of burglary of a habitation with intent to commit aggravated assault. Macri elected punishment from the court and the trial judge assessed punishment at life in prison, to be served consecutively with the 20-year sentence assessed in Cause 97-CR-5378. Macri moved for a new trial and the trial judge denied the motion without a hearing. Macri raises seven issues...
