On September 17, 1998, a jury convicted appellant, John Lee Huddleston, as a habitual offender and found him guilty of possession of amphetamine with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia. The trial court fined him $10,000.00 and sentenced him to life imprisonment and to a ten-year term in the Arkansas Department of Correction.
