Per Curiam.

David George Lewis has submitted an affidavit dated March 26, 1999, in which he tenders his resignation as an attorney and counselor-at-law (see, 22 NYCRR 691.9). Mr. Lewis was admitted to the practice of law at a term of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court in the Second Judicial Department on June 18, 1958.

In his affidavit, Mr. Lewis acknowledged that he could not successfully defend himself on the merits...
