The defendant appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of sexual assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-70 (a) (1) and unlawful restraint in the second degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-96 (a). He claims that his constitutional right to a fair trial was violated by prosecutorial misconduct that consisted of (1) inquiring into the defendant's misdemeanor...
