Presently before the Court is a request by the government that certain statements against penal interest made by co-conspirator Neftaliacute; Vélez-Ramos be admitted pursuant to Federal Rule of Evidence 804(b)(3) against his alleged accomplice, given the unavailability of the former as a trial witness.
