Mr. Norwood was convicted of Assault in the First Degree, a Class A felony, upon a jury verdict finding that he caused serious physical injury to Mr. Robert Stepp after Defendant knocked Mr. Stepp to the ground and stomped on his head. Defendant appeals, arguing that the evidence was only sufficient to show that he caused physical injury to Mr. Stepp, not that he caused serious physical injury to him.
