On May 17, 1995, defendant, Terry Lewis, was charged by bill of information with carnal knowledge of a juvenile in violation of La. R.S. 14:80. At his arraignment on May 19, 1995, the defendant entered a plea of not guilty. After a jury trial on November 7, 1996, the defendant was found guilty as charged.
