James Lorenza King appeals from his convictions for rape in the first degree and for sodomy in the first degree, see § 13A-6-61(1) and § 13A-6-63(1), Ala.Code 1975. The trial court sentenced King, as a habitual offender, to life imprisonment without parole for each conviction. This appeal follows.
