STATEMENT OF THE CASE

On December 23, 1997, the defendant, Bruce O. Calway, was charged by bill of information with possession with the intent to distribute cocaine in violation of La. R.S. 40:967. The defendant entered a plea of not guilty at his arraignment on January 6, 1998. A preliminary hearing and a suppression hearing were held on February 13, 1998. The trial court found probable cause and denied the defendant's Motion to Suppress Evidence...
