Aaron L. Morris was convicted by a jury of involuntary manslaughter1 in connection with the death, on or about February 3, 1995, of three-year-old Rhonda Morris. On appeal, Morris contends that the trial judge committed reversible error by denying Morris' motion to suppress

1. an inculpatory statement made by Morris prior to being advised of his rights pursuant to Miranda v. Arizona,
