On January 21, 1998, Defendant, Mac Minnifield ("Minnifield"), was convicted by a jury of DWI, Fourth Offense, in violation of La. R.S. 14:98. He was sentenced by the trial court on February 3, 1998, to 15 years at hard labor, with 3 of the years to be served without benefit of probation, parole or suspension of sentence.
