OPINION

PER CURIAM.

In this medical-malpractice case, the plaintiff, Lou Ann Lauro, seeks to impose "captain of the ship" liability upon an orthopedic surgeon for an eye injury she suffered in the operating room. A Superior Court motion justice granted summary judgment in favor of the defendant, Kenneth Knowles, M.D. (Dr. Knowles), from which judgment the plaintiff now appeals. We ordered the parties to show cause why we should not resolve this appeal summarily...
