The question before us is whether a defendant may use Florida Rule of Criminal Procedure 3.800(a) to challenge his habitual offender adjudication. Defendant-appellant Jesus Bover contends that the predicate offenses introduced at his sentencing hearing did not qualify him under the applicable statutes, because they did not satisfy the sequential conviction rule.
