Rufus Boswell was convicted of burglary of an unoccupied dwelling by a jury. His sentence was Gortized pursuant to the Career Criminal Sentencing Statute, section 775.084, Florida Statutes (1997). As Boswell's offense was committed on October 31, 1997, after re-enactment of the statute, this action cured any possible argument that the statute violated the single subject requirement of Article III, Section 6 of the Florida Constitution.
