The present appeals are taken from two judgments notwithstanding the verdict (JNOV), and from a jury verdict. The jury granted judgment in favor of the plaintiffs Jesse Mendoza, Steven and Edith Schneider and against defendants, Michael Mashburn and his insurer, Progressive American Insurance Company (Progressive).
