The appellant, Andrew Sasser, was convicted of capital felony murder and sentenced to die by lethal injection. We affirmed the conviction and sentence in Sasser v. State, 321 Ark. 438, 902 S.W.2d 773 (1995). Sasser subsequently filed a timely petition for postconviction relief pursuant to Arkansas Criminal Procedure Rule 37.
