RUCKER, Judge.

In this medical negligence action a jury returned a verdict in favor of Appellee James Pettit for the maximum amount recoverable under the Indiana Medical Malpractice Act. On motion by Pettit the trial court entered an award of prejudgment interest in addition to costs including attorney's fees.
