Defendant, Dorothy H. Soles, was charged with two counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, in violation of La. R.S. 14:62.2. Pursuant to a plea agreement with the State, Defendant pled guilty to one count of simple burglary, in exchange for the State's agreement to dismiss the second count. The trial court sentenced Defendant to serve seven years at hard labor, one year being without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. A...
