Defendant Darnell Lewis was charged by grand jury indictment on May 23, 1991 with two counts of aggravated rape, violations of La. R.S. 14:42; two counts of aggravated burglary, violations of La. R.S. 14:60; and one count of aggravated crime against nature, violations of La. R.S. 14:89.1. Defendant entered pleas of not guilty at his June 4, 1991 arraignment.
