Defendant, Gary Wayne Looney, pled guilty to simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling in exchange for the state's agreement to dismiss another count of simple burglary and to not institute a multiple offender proceeding. Before sentencing, defendant moved to withdraw his guilty plea. After a hearing, the motion was denied and defendant was sentenced to 12 years at hard labor.
