Opinion by Justice HINOJOSA.

Appellant, Robert Smith, and co-defendant, Hardesty Bogany, pleaded guilty to the offense of aggravated robbery,1 and a jury assessed punishment at sixty years imprisonment for each defendant. By four points of error, Smith contends the trial court erred by denying his motion to sever, by admitting evidence of prior convictions, and by refusing to grant a writ of habeas corpus.
