Madison was found guilty of distribution of cocaine. After the trial, the state filed a habitual offender bill of information and Madison was adjudicated a third felony offender. Madison was sentenced to life in prison at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. He now appeals his sentence, urging three assignments of error.
