On October 23, 1997, the Defendant, Chance Myers, was charged by bill of information with one count of possession with the intent to distribute cocaine, a violation of La.R.S. 40:967(A). The Defendant pled not guilty to the charge on November 24, 1997. However, on January 30, 1998, the Defendant withdrew his plea of not guilty and entered a plea of guilty to the charged offense. On that same date, the Defendant also pled guilty to two charges...
