Cedric Edwards was indicted for the first degree murder of Victoria Catanese Kennedy in violation of La.R.S. 14:30. After a trial by jury, defendant was found guilty as charged. The defendant moved for a new trial and for judgment of acquittal, which were denied. A sentence hearing was conducted before the same jury.
