This case reaches this Court on appeal from a protective order issued by the Circuit Court for Carroll County pursuant to Md. Code (1984, 1991 Repl.Vol., 1998 Supp.), § 4-501 et seq. of the Family Law Article (FL) (Domestic Violence Act). The protective order was issued at the request of appellee, Teresa Layman, upon a complaint of stalking. A hearing was held and the court ordered that appellant, Curtis Piper, shall not: 1) abuse or threaten...
