Defendant appeals from his April 10, 1996, convictions of home invasion (720 ILCS 5/12-11 (West 1996)) and criminal sexual assault (720 ILCS 5/12-13 (West 1996)). The trial court sentenced defendant to 10 years' imprisonment on each offense, the sentences to be served consecutively. Additionally, the trial court stated that as a part of defendant's sentence, he was to serve at least 85% of the sentence for criminal...
