The defendant, Michael Walker, was charged by bill of information on September 25, 1995, with illegal possession of a stolen automobile worth more than $500, a violation of La. R.S. 14:69(A). At his arraignment on October 31, 1995, he pleaded not guilty. However, on November 14, the defendant withdrew his earlier plea and entered a plea of guilty as charged.
