MURRAY, Judge.

On August 28, 1997, Trenadad East, was convicted of second degree murder of Latisha Brown1. His motion for new trial was denied and he was sentenced to life imprisonment without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence on September 19, 1997. Mr. East appeals that conviction, alleging that the trial court erred in denying his motion to continue the trial. For the following reasons, we affirm.
