The Defendant, Joseph Brad Gauthier, seeks review of the trial court's denial of his motion to suppress the evidence and statements obtained in the present matter.

At about 2:00 a.m. on January 26, 1998, Officer Jeff Robinson, a Grant Parish police officer, was patrolling in the normal course of his duties, when he passed Maxwell's Mini-Mart, a convenience store located off Highway 165 in Pollock, in Grant
