A jury sitting in the Circuit Court for Charles County convicted appellant Bernard Gilbert Ashe of involuntary manslaughter and assault and battery. That same jury acquitted appellant of first degree felony murder, second degree specific intent murder, and conspiracy to commit mayhem, and deadlocked on charges of second degree depraved heart murder and conspiracy to commit assault and battery.
