¶ 1. This appeal challenges appellant's conviction for attempted armed robbery. We conclude that there was sufficient evidence of an overt act necessary to support the attempted armed robbery conviction. We further conclude that appellant's separate convictions for aggravated assault and attempted armed robbery do not violate double jeopardy protections because the offenses are separate and distinct.
