CHEHARDY, Judge.

Mark Taylor appeals his adjudication as a second felony offender and his enhanced sentence of forty-nine and one-half years at hard labor without benefit of probation or suspension of sentence. We affirm.

The habitual offender conviction arose as follows. On January 21, 1997 Mark Taylor was charged with one count of violation of La. R.S. 14:64, armed robbery. He entered a plea of not guilty on February 4, 1997.1
