HOLLOWAY, Circuit Judge.

Defendant-Appellant Felix Rendon Osuna was convicted on jury verdicts of guilty of possession of a machine gun in violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(o) and possession of an unregistered firearm or destructive device in violation of 26 U.S.C. §§ 5845 and 5861(d). The latter charges involved possession of a grenade launcher and grenade, and four silencers.

A co-defendant, Benavente, moved for acquittal at the close of the government...
