This matter originated as a lawsuit by a small mortgage company, Academy Mortgage Company, L.L.C., against its manager, Paul Juarez, for mismanagement, breach of fiduciary duty, and destruction of property belonging to the company. Paul Juarez and his wife eventually impleaded other members of the limited liability company, who are also attorneys, and alleged legal malpractice against those individuals.
