¶ 1 In this appeal, Appellant, Janice Foflygen, asks us to determine whether the information she received prior to her gastric-bypass surgery was sufficient to constitute informed consent. We hold that the validity of a surgical patient's informed consent depends upon the pretreatment information relayed to the patient, regardless of whether the disclosures are made by the treating physician or another qualified...
