On January 20, 1998, the Jefferson Parish District Attorney filed a bill of information charging defendant, Shawn S. Pierre, with two counts of aggravated burglary, in violation of La. R.S. 14:60. At his arraignment on March 13, 1998, defendant plead not guilty. A judge trial was held on July 21, 1998. Upon conclusion of trial, the trial court found defendant guilty as charged on both counts.
