This appeal brings to the forefront once again the issue of whether this court should recognize common-law liability for the negligence of vendors licensed by the state who sell alcoholic beverages to intoxicated persons who, in turn, cause injury to third persons. In our previous decisions, we have declined to establish that liability judicially, beginning with the seminal case of Carr v. Turner, 238 Ark. 889,
