Plaintiff Alvera Walter sued defendant Blue Cross & Blue Shield United of Wisconsin (herein "Blue Cross" or "Blue Cross of Wisconsin") in Florida state court for breach of contract. Blue Cross removed the case to federal district court and filed a motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction. Walter failed to respond to that motion in a timely manner.
