In Oklahoma state court, Gregg Francis Braun pled nolo contendere to murder in the first degree, two counts of shooting with intent to kill, and two counts of robbery with firearms. The court sentenced him to death for the murder, life imprisonment on each shooting count, and 25 years on each robbery count. After direct and post-conviction appeals in state court, Braun sought habeas relief in federal district court under 28 U.S.C. § 2254...
