On May 29, 1997, Michael B. Correll filed an action against Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, seeking workers' compensation benefits for an on-the-job injury that occurred on May 31, 1995. After receiving ore tenus evidence, the trial court entered an order finding Correll permanently and totally disabled and awarding benefits accordingly.
