Michael Thomas was charged by bill of information with attempted second degree murder. He proceeded to trial in which a 12-member jury returned the responsive verdict of attempted manslaughter, La. R.S. 14:27, 14:31. He was later adjudicated a third felony offender and sentenced to a mandatory life at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. He now appeals, urging the evidence was insufficient to support a conviction...
