HOLLAND, J., delivered the unanimous opinion of the Court.

A Dallas County grand jury indicted appellant for murder, alleging that appellant knowingly and intentionally caused the death of the victim by shooting him "with a firearm, a deadly weapon." TEX PENAL CODE § 19.02(b)(1). The jury convicted appellant of voluntary manslaughter and assessed appellant's punishment at twenty years' confinement and a $10,000 fine. TEX. PENAL CODE ...
