DIXON W. HOLMAN, Justice.

Appellant Dionicio Vega Garza was charged with a non-capital felony offense. On the day set for trial, a venire was brought to the courtroom and seated so each veniremember could write answers to questions asked in a written questionnaire. Both the prosecutor and the defense attorney were present, observing the veniremembers while they completed their task. At 11:00 a.m., the questionnaires were answered, and the court immediately...
