A jury convicted Appellant Francisco Javier Peña-Mota of two counts of delivery of 400 grams or more of cocaine and one count of possession of that quantity of cocaine with intent to deliver. See TEX. HEALTH & SAFETY CODE ANN. §§ 481.112(f) (Vernon Supp.1999). The jury assessed his punishment on each count at life imprisonment and a $250,000 fine.
