On August 21, 1997, defendant, Kevin Lewis, was indicted in Jefferson Parish on one count of aggravated rape in violation of La. R.S. 14:42, one count of aggravated crime against nature in violation of La. R.S. 14:89.1, and one count of aggravated burglary in violation of La. R.S. 14:60.
