FARRELL, Associate Judge:

Brown was found guilty by a jury of the armed robbery of Mario Barber and a related firearm offense. Barber was the sole eyewitness to the alleged robbery. In Brown v. United States, 683 A.2d 118 (D.C.1996) (Brown I), we concluded that in foreclosing Brown's cross-examination of Barber as to a potential motive to lie, "the [trial] judge erred in applying an unduly restrictive legal standard...
