The Latin axiom "cutellum tuum relinque domi"1 would best serve defendant Ronnie Johnson. Johnson was convicted of carrying weapons when after being stopped for a minor traffic violation, a number of knives fell out of his glove compartment in the presence of the arresting officer. Johnson now appeals claiming (1) the court erred in failing to instruct the jury on whether the knife was in a closed and fastened container...
