National American Insurance Company ("National") brought suit against Brenda H. Hogan ("Brenda Hogan") for breach of contract and fraudulent conveyance, contending that she breached a General Agreement of Indemnity ("GAI") and conspired with her husband, Ben Miles Hogan, Jr. ("Ben Hogan"), to defraud National through the improper transfer of assets. The case went to trial before a jury on November 24-25, 1997.2
