Plaintiff Liza Leonard (Leonard) filed suit under the Unemployment Insurance Act (Act) (820 ILCS 405/500 (West 1998)), appealing two decisions by the Board of Review of the Department of Employment Security (Board) in which the Board denied Leonard unemployment compensation.
